Yeah, I know, it's been a while. I've been kinda busy. What could an unemployed man with no money be busy doing you ask? Well I've been working on a new comic project since you guys seemed to like the others so much.
I'm not ready to say what it is yet, but it's going to be a comic-book length story and I've gone back to my roots a bit. Take that as you will.
I'd actually started this comic at the beginning of September in hopes of having it done in time for Halloween. Yeah, as of posting this I have the cover and one page ALMOST done. At this rate I'm hoping to have it ready by Christmas, or failing that NEXT Halloween. I will say though that I am liking the way it's looking.
I'll post the cover as soon as it's done.
What's going on with TerriblyWrong.com? Once again, I don't know. It's kinda hard to stay informed when everyone lives all over the country and the chief doesn't have regular internet access at the moment. Hopefully we'll all know something soon. For all of you that have asked about the TW strip and have missed it I wish I could keep it coming on my own, but things are complicated in that regard. I really appreciate the fact that you guys actually enjoy it and follow it. Mace has long said that we staff members at TW have been our own biggest fans, and I know I've been entertaining myself with the strip, but I'm constantly amazed that anyone else has even heard about it, let alone liked it. So thanks guys, I'll try to keep the funny coming.
Speaking of which, I will reveal here, for the first time ever, that the mysterious new project of mine will be on it's own website. Does this mean I'll be severing my association with TerriblyWrong.com? No, it doesn't. When TW returns, I'll continue that strip. In the meantime I'll be self-publishing my other projects and shamelessly self-promoting them as well..
I'll post the link as soon as there's something there to look at.
While all this has been going on we went to see Saw 2. Don't take this as criticism of Saw 2, which was a damn good sequel, but it was a sequel, which means that the original was better. If you liked Saw, however, I can almost guarantee you'll like Saw 2. I'd say more, but I don't want to take any chance of giving anything away.
I finally watched Land Of The Dead tonight. For those of you that aren't into the horror movie scene (though I don't know how you could continue living that way) Land Of The Dead is the latest in the George Romero zombie series beginning with Night Of The Living Dead in 1968.
Land is a cool movie and the effects are really good as they're a combination of CGI and practical effects by K&B Effects, the people behind (amongst other things) Evil Dead 2 and Army Of Darkness. They also did one of the other Romero zombie movies, but I can't remember which one off the top of my head.
That's right, all this horror movie trivia is off the top of my head. Ain't I cool?
And single.
And unemployed...
Dammit.
Anyways, Saw 2 and Land Of The Dead both get thumbs up from me, and if I haven't said it enough already you should all see Batman Begins which is fresh out on video.
I'm done for now. Maybe I'll write more when I wake up.
